Frequently Asked Questions
Is it ok to have fallen asleep during the treatment?
Lots of my clients fall asleep during their treatments. It can be an indication of how tired they are. Also falling asleep during a myo-fascial or cranio sacral treatment is an indication that change is happening. Often clients wake up and describe where they have been or what they have seen. Perhaps the have austral travelled. Often they resolve problems during that time of contact with their hidden conscious and are able to make change in their lives. These treatments can be very powerful on the mental. physical, emotional and spiritual aspects ofthe body.
How often should I get a massage?
Everyone should have a regular massage at least every 3 wks or once a month. It is a bit like servicing your car. You would not just keep driving it and never give it any mechanical attention. Having a regular massage helps to break the pain cycle and keep an eye on potential problems. A regular massage will keep you calm and relaxed in the face of this stressful world we live in. Think of it as a much needed time out for the body. Many ancient cultures employed massage as a daily ritual especially in the famous bath houses in Rome. Today we are less connected with our bodies and it is a great way to get in touch again.
With Myo fascial release, will I need to come back often?
With Myo fascial release treatments many treatments can be permanent after 2 or 3 treatments. The body responds well to Myo. Myo works with the connective tissue in the body which is a huge interconnective web throughout the body. The connective tissue gives the body structure. It wraps around all the organs, bones, muscles, muscle fibres, right down to the cellular level. The connective tissue is just under the skin so it is easy to contact . Treatments are gentle and involve sustained stretches over 3 to 5 minutes allowing the elastin and collagen aspects of the body to stretch properly. That way change can be permanent in as little as 2 or 3 treatments
